The Samsung Galaxy S26 flagship series was officially presented on February 25, 2026, during the Galaxy Unpacked event. The main innovation is built‑in Privacy Screen to limit display visibility at an angle. All models have become lighter, support fast charging, and run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and feature expanded AI capabilities.

New Galaxy Generation

The Galaxy S26 Ultra debuts the world’s first built‑in Privacy Display. This integrated screen technology limits visibility from side angles, so people nearby can’t view your private content. You can hide the full screen, specific apps, or just sensitive elements like notifications and passwords—all activated instantly without external filters.

Nightography Video is significantly improved with a wider F1.4 aperture on the Wide camera, delivering 47% more brightness in low light. This upgrade helps produce clearer, more detailed videos in dark settings, with Galaxy AI enhancing stability and color accuracy.

Photo Assist lets you edit images using simple text prompts. By describing what you want, Galaxy AI can add objects, restyle scenes, restore details, or reframe photos automatically—transforming complex editing into a quick, guided process.

The design features a refined look with a new translucent camera island that blends smoothly into the back panel. The S Pen fits neatly into the frame, and the device comes in premium colors including Cobalt Violet, Sky Blue, White, and Black.

Performance is powered by a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip with improved CPU, GPU, and NPU performance, offering 19% faster processing. This enables smoother AI‑driven features and better multitasking across the system.

Charging is fast and efficient, reaching up to 75% in around 30 minutes with a compatible charger. Despite this speed, the device also delivers long endurance, offering up to 31 hours of video playback on a single charge.

Samsung’s listed key specs highlight the 6.9‑inch display, upgraded 200 MP Wide camera with F1.4 aperture, 50 MP Telephoto with F2.9, and an overall slim 7.9 mm design weighing 214 g. These upgrades position the S26 Ultra as Samsung’s most advanced AI‑optimized flagship.
