Following the implementation of Article 11E, purchases of certain electronic goods in Cyprus can now be made without VAT when the transaction takes place between VAT-registered companies (B2B).
According to the legislation, VAT is not charged by the supplier, and the buyer accounts for it under the reverse charge mechanism — a major advantage for registered businesses.
This applies to the following product categories:
- Mobile phones
- Gaming consoles, tablets, and laptops (excluding desktop PCs with towers)
- Integrated circuits such as microprocessors and CPUs (before incorporation into end products)
